This commercial for Guinness is all about a clock that strives to be more. The ad is in black and white and the voice is that of the clock that is on top of a tall tower. The clock can make time fly when time feels like it is dragging. A man sits in his shoe shop, sighing at the slow passage of time. As the hands of the clock speed up, the man is amazed to see his table quickly fill up with shoes and boots. In another scene, a man's house and business catches on fire. The owner of the building is asleep upstairs when he hears cries and shouts that there is a fire. People on the street grab buckets and fill them with water in an attempt to put the fire out. The clock is able to give the man a second chance, by spinning it's hands backward. The second chance gives the man time to wake up, go downstairs, grab a bucket of milk from a woman passing by, and tossing it on the fire pit, putting out the fire before it has a chance to spread to the roof. Next, we see a line of soldiers, returning to their village on horses. A woman rings a bell, welcoming the soldiers home. As everyone in the town gathers in the streets to greet their loved ones, the clock is able to make a moment, less momentary by stopping time so the families can enjoy their embraces a little longer. I have decided to be more of a "tick tock" kind of clock. When time drags, I can make it fly. To give a second chance, my seconds spin backwards. And imagine, if I made precious moments less momentary. Because in the end we have a choice. Do we settle to be ordinary, or do we strive to be made of more? Guinness Made of More Est. 1759
