The show focused on the Huxtable family, a likable upper-middle class African-American family living in a brownstone in Brooklyn Heights, New York, at 10 Stigwood Avenue. The patriarch was the very playful Heathcliff "Cliff" Huxtable, an obstetrician. The matriarch was his very eloquent wife, attorney Clair (Hanks) Huxtable. The show involved typical issues of children growing up.

Well one cold day a posse captured Billy and the judge said "String him up for what he did." And the cowboys and their kin like the sea, came pouring in to watch the hanging of Billy the kid. Peter's sister Karen (voice of Kate McKinnon) visits the Griffins, and turns out to be a bully who treats Peter the way he treats Meg. Although Meg is initially amused, she eventually feels bad and decides to help Peter train to beat Karen in a wrestling match. Meanwhile, Stewie and Brian decide to go on a cleanse to avoid eating too much on Thanksgiving.
