This Television Commercial plays Lose Yourself performed by Eminem
This commercial begins with shots of the highways on the way to Detroit. There are lots of overpasses, dirty factories, smoke stacks, and other signs of a run down city. Then they start to show the strong, patriotic, and America aspects of the city - an American flag, tall buildings, a steel fist, hard work, paintings of blue collar workers, and more. We then see the luxury Chrysler 200 driving out of a tunnel in the city. There are many, many more shots of things in Detroit as narrator speaks throughout the commercial about how even though people talk down about their city, it is great. The driver of the vehicle is shown to be Eminem (a famous Detroit resident). He parks the car and get out to go into a theatre where a choir sings along to the beat of his song "Lose Yourself". I got a question for you. What does this city know about luxury? Huh? What does a town that's been to Hell and back know about the finer things in life? Well, I'll tell you - more than most. You see, it's the hottest fires that make the strongest steel. Add hard work and conviction, and the know-how that runs generations deep in every last one of us. That's who we are. That's our story. Now it's probably not the one you've been reading in the papers. The one being written by folks who have never even been here and don't know what we're capable of. Because when it comes to luxury, it's as much about where it's from, as who it's for. Now we're from America, but this isn't New York City, or the Windy City (Chicago), or Sin City (Las Vegas), and we're certainly no one's Emerald City (Seattle and/or Wizard of Oz reference).
