Cleveland looks for a job, first trying to be a grizzled police officer two days from retirement and also as a singing salesman at the Stoolbend Flea Market. Tim helps him get a job at Waterman Cable as a phone solicitor. Cleveland runs into an old high-school friend, Terry Kimple who is working as a cable installer for Waterman. When they were in school, Terry took the rap when they were busted for drugs. When Cleveland excels as a salesman, causing business to dry up for Tim, Tim prays for bad things to happen to Cleveland.

The twins play fairies in the school play and Frank has a problem with it.

In the fourth-season opener, Frankie gets nostalgic about the summers of her youth. Meanwhile, Axl attends summer school; Frankie wants to know which parent her kids favor; Brick grows a tomato; and Sue attempts to bond with her dad.

Frankie’s plans to recreate the magic of her own childhood summers are foiled when Mike lets it slip that Axl is his favorite Heck child, and Frankie tries to coax the kids into telling them who their favorite parent is. Meanwhile, when Frankie and Mike discover that Axl failed English during the past school year, they force him to make it up in summer school, otherwise he could jeopardize any chance of getting a college sports scholarship after graduation; Brick takes up growing a tomato for his summer project; and Sue tries to bond with a reluctant Mike and to get him involved in different activities with her — which she plans to document in a giant scrapbook.

Andy decides to pursue a career as a professional actor, and quits his job at Dunder Mifflin. Meanwhile, Dwight finally receives his black belt in karate from his new sensei (Michael Imperioli) and, on the advice of Jim, is promoted to Regional Manager of the Scranton branch. Jim reconnects with Pam, and makes it clear that he will choose her over Philadelphia.

Bart visits several of his previous girlfriends (Gina the juvenile delinquent from "The Wandering Juvie", Darcy the pregnant teen from "Little Big Girl", Jenny the nursing home volunteer from "The Good, the Sad and the Drugly" and Nikki the new girl who flip-flopped between loving and hating Bart from "Stealing First Base") to find out why his relationships with them never lasted, until Bart realizes that there was one girl who did love him: Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel's daughter Mary from "Apocalypse Cow", who is now living in New York, so Bart resolves to track her down.

Peter befriends a mob boss's nephew, Big Fat Paulie, while paying off a debt. But when he says that Lois does not want them to hang out anymore, Paulie misinterprets the situation and thinks that Peter wants him to kill her so they can still be friends, so Peter must find a way to call off the hit.

Forushande (The Salesman) is the story of a couple whose relationship begins to turn sour during their performance of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. * The Salesman received an Oscar (89th Academy Awards - 2017) for: "Foreign Language Film"
