Beckett and her team burst into an apartment on a murderer's trail, only to be surprised when they find Castle, who they hadn't seen or heard from in months, standing over the dead woman's body holding a gun. Beckett has no choice but to arrest Castle until he proves he is innocent.

Reporter Scott Templeton submits an unverifiable story about a boy attending the opening day of the Baltimore Orioles baseball season. Haynes is dubious but is forced to run the story by his senior editors. The withdrawal of the police investigation emboldens Marlo Stanfield and he orders several murders and tries to contact international drug trafficking organization "The Greeks". Detective Lester Freamon continues to observe Stanfield even though he has been assigned to the Clay Davis corruption case. Bubbles takes a job at a soup kitchen. McNulty becomes increasingly frustrated in the underfunded homicide unit and takes the drastic step of faking a homicide with the intention of drawing funds to the department by creating the illusion of a serial killer.

"Beach Tweet" This commercial features the beautiful brunette actress, Sofia Vergara sitting on the beach. She is too hot and notices someone drinking a refreshing Diet Pepsi, but the line at the concession stand is much too long to wait in. She pulls out her phone and Tweets from @SofiaVergara, "At the pier... just saw #DavidBeckham". The cell phones of everyone on the beach start ringing with the Twitter update and people start rushing toward the pier to see David Beckham. Sofia then casually walks up the the concession stand and orders her own Diet Pepsi. As she is back in her beach chair sipping on the soda, a soccer ball rolls up and David Beckham asks her what's going on over at the pier. One Diet Pepsi please. What's going on over there.
