Luke reveals to Jessica that he was ordered by Kilgrave to destroy his bar, and recounts the events leading up to it. The two go in search of leads to Kilgrave and his father, who Kilgrave is using to concoct a way to control Jessica again. Luke tells Jessica that it was wrong to blame her for Reva's death and that he forgives her. Trish's mother, meanwhile, visits her with a file on a company called "IGH", which was responsible for providing Simpson with his pills, and also paid for Jessica's medical care following her childhood accident. Luke and Jessica eventually find a nightclub which Kilgrave was using to test his enhanced powers on an audience. While they look for video footage, Kilgrave appears and reveals that Luke has been under his control the whole time in order to lie to Jessica that he has forgiven her. Kilgrave unleashes Luke on Jessica and escapes while the two fight. The fight culminates in Jessica shooting Luke in the head with a police shotgun.

Jax strikes a new deal while ridding himself of old problems, Jax and Tig kill Pope and frame Clay for the murder, and Tara is arrested for conspiracy to commit murder.

Jax scrambles to put his affairs in order, while Nero handles business with his old crew.

In 2010, four good friends have had a string of bad luck with their adult lives: Adam has been dumped by his girlfriend; Lou is a party guy who cannot find the party; Nick's wife controls his every move; and Adam's video game obsessed nephew Jacob will not leave his basement. After a crazy night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, the men wake up, heads pounding, in the year 1986. The friends can see each other as their proper age, but when they look at their reflections and to everyone else they appear as they did in 1986 (aside from Jacob). The quartet of men are at first concerned they must not mess anything up but then decide this may be a chance to change their destinies and get the futures (and women) they wanted.
