Lisa befriends three practicing Wiccans and must save them from being persecuted for their beliefs. Meanwhile, Homer starts hanging out with Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel after discovering that Cletus and his friends make moonshine.

Dave and Alex have started dating again; Brad tricks Jane into thinking he's at home during the day, when in reality he’s got a new job; and Penny has a nasty fall that lands her in a full-body cast, which works out nicely for Max, as Penny's physical therapist, Kent, is very receptive to Max's flirtations.

Still trying to get her mind off Steve, Fiona decides to reconnect with Craig, an old high school crush. When she finds an abandoned purse with five hundred dollars in it, she assumes her luck is finally changing. Frank decides to do anything to get Dottie's money, including marrying her and intercepting the page telling her she has a new heart. After Harry, an elderly man who Debbie befriends at the retirement home, dies, Debbie becomes obsessed with death. Kevin thinks about buying the Alibi Room, much to the dismay of Veronica. Lip meets with a soldier to gather information for Ian about West Point. Jody is planning on asking for Karen's hand in marriage.

Marshall takes Robin to a bar with a Minnesota theme. Ted attempts to keep his visiting sister away from Barney.

While Selina balances her unexpected Presidency with the New Hampshire primary, Dan pushes Jonah to take the blame for the torture rumor in exchange for a job at the White House. There is a slight issue with the oath of office, because of Mike's clumsiness. Selina accidentally tells Kent the wrong person to fire and 'squeaks' to the nation. To help her campaign, Selina visits a factory.

Arthur has been signed up to attend Themed Dances at the senior center, but after two nights he can't take it anymore. He begs Doug to take him to the docks instead of the senior center where he meets up with his old friend Chick.
